Review Of Restaurant
An open fire, family antiques and flowers from the garden create a caring atmosphere in the restaurant and the Duke of Devonshire's fairytale castle looks magical from window tables when floodlit at night. Appetising meals are based on local ingredients including, of course, fresh and smoked Blackwater salmon, along with home-produced honey and trio of local cheeses - Knockanore, Knockalara and Ring - and service is friendly and helpful. Overall high standard of excellence. The restaurant can seat from 30 to 100 guests.

Balllyrafter House handles all types of functions from weddings and christenings to business meetings and banquets.Our Courtyard Room accommodates up to 90 guests and features a conservatory and our Georgian stone architecture. Completely refurbished recently, the new complex incorporates air conditioning and all modern sound.
The hotel and spacious lawned gardens are located just outside of Lismore Heritage Town overlooking the fairytale Lismore Castle. Our menus combine locally sourced ingredients as well as specially requested dishes which can be imported from overseas, if needs be.
